Anna Mabel, Helsinki-based Finnish singer/songwriter, is an independent pop artist. She writes her melodic and thought-provoking songs from her own life and they are seasoned with captivating beats and served in a hooking electro-pop format. She describes herself as a rainbow Tina Turner. Her deep, wide-ranging and soulful voice tells stories of love, hurt and vulnerability and her love of musicals, 80's pop, 90’s rock and EDM are the foundation of her songs. She wants to provoke her audience to feel, think and dance at the same time.
Anna Mabel didn’t first pursue her dream as a musician, but created her career in the business world, had a family and a life that she thought she should have to make others proud of her. After the shocking diagnosis of her child’s illness, everything else in her life started to crumble. The loss of her well-paid and secure job, the divorce from her husband of almost 20 years and the coming out as a queer woman, are some of the circumstances of the last couple of years that have made her what she is now. But from the turmoil has risen this unapologetic and untamed woman, who wants her music to help others to find their paths and be celebrated as their authentic selves.
The first three self-released singles were released in 2022 and new music is coming up. Anna Mabel has also released songs in her native language under the artist name Marianne.
